Ann De Ron
Ann has been training researchers in science communication topics since 2004 with her own company called FishGrowFeet. For ten years, she has worked as a full-time journalist, mostly in Belgium but also in India, Honduras, and Morocco. On top of writing her own stories, she was for several years an editor for the international press agency Inter Press Service, a global news agency raising the voices of the South and civil society on issues of development, globalisation, human rights, and the environment.
She also held a management position for five years at the Belgian social profit organisation Groep Intro, an organization that aims to improve the social position of vulnerable people, both youngsters and adults.
Ann holds a master’s in biology from KU Leuven University and a Bachelor-after-Bachelor in Intercultural Communication.
